Summary/Abstract: The current qualitative study capitalizes on previous research regarding the English and Spanish teacher’s profile as outlined by Romanian engineering students. This research aims to identify language teacher’s negative features likely to negatively influence the didactic process and thus failing to comply with the requirements of the English & Spanish teacher profession in Romanian technical higher education. What are their main negative characteristics of language teachers likely to bring about engineering students’ dissatisfaction? The study was conducted to engineering students, from various technical backgrounds, at University Politehnica of Timişoara (UPT) and University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB), between 2022- 2023, by means of the panel method likely to point out the range of teacher’s drawbacks in the study of languages. Hence, the results of the present study will raise awareness and help language teachers improve and ensure the quality of the educational process.
