Summary/Abstract: This article aims to theoretically analyze the quality of life of institutionalized teenagers with intellectual disabilities. By examining existing literature and relevant theories, the article provides a deeper understanding of this issue and suggests directions for future research and practice. Quality of life (QoL) has become a central theme in psychological research on people with intellectual disabilities. This article reviews the existing literature on quality of life in institutionalized youth with intellectual disabilities, focusing on indicators of physical, emotional, and social well-being.
