Summary/Abstract: The idea of spirituality, beliefs and the system of values to which society relates at any given time is one of the main points of view from which we have looked and interpreted things in this work. As part of the Roman Empire, a series of territories were definitively Romanized. They remained Roman until today, therefore, obviously, after the tearing of the Roman Empire too. From the time of Traian, the image of ,,the Roman citizen” was replaced with that of the ,,Roman man” (homo Romanus), as the axis of the mental life of the Empire, the repository of ancient customs and marked by respect for the Greco-Roman tradition. With regard to the situation of the Romanity of the Lower Danube, the Roman domination left its mark definitively; the organization and customs here were also decisively influenced by the Romano-Byzantine Empire, which continued its existence until the 15th century. South of the Danube and in the Balkan Peninsula there were regions where the Romanized population continued its way of life after the massive migration of the Slavs.
