Summary/Abstract: Nora Iuga finds in literature the perfect place to play with the reader, by innovating with each volume. Her poems are experimental and bring to light the effervescent nature of the writer’s imagination and poetic power and tone. The energy of the texts is given by the association of powerful images that create a tension that resembles the one made by actors when the play. Her debut in poetry has occurred in a blurred period in the Romanian literature and society, mainly in the totalitarian regime – communism. She was banished from publishing for a few years. Due to the circumstances, she was more inclined to experiment and innovate, in a complex process of rediscovering poetry. She is original due to the melting of a playful tone with a tragic one, themes seem to be revived with each text. Frequent themes such as time, memory, youth, maternity, body, writing, the condition of women and many others are put together in a surrealist manner and not only. She is one of the most intriguing and interesting voices in the Romanian literature.
