Summary/Abstract: Through his lyrics, Macedonski tries to synchronize Romanian poetry with European discourse, manifesting itself casually, without complexes. He managed to recover in a short time, through originality, what he lacked the poetics of that time, by burning some stages and introducing mixed forms. Macedonski is the forerunner of symbolism who, together with writers such as Ștefan Petică, Nicolae Davidescu, Traian Demetrescu, Ovid Densusianu, made known the symbolist techniques and programs. Through his articles and less through his lyrics, he manages to change the type of sensitivity through a new perspective on poetics.
