Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to analyse the haiku poem poem by Şerban Codrin “Merii în floare –/ am totul dinainte/ pe masa goalǎ that has been translated by the author of the paper into English as “Apple trees in bloom -/ I have everything before me/ on the empty table”. The perspective from which the poem will be analysed is that of the empty space of Japanese Zen Buddhism, starting from the way it is presented in architecture in the paper by Sudikno (2004).
