Participation of the Central Library of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in the Scientific program Development and recognition of the Bulgarian Studies abroad: resources and their presentation

Summary/Abstract: The Bulgarian Studies have a crucial part in the image of contemporary Bulgaria and its place in the European and world civilization. With regard to this the National scientific program Development and recognition of the Bulgarian Studies abroad aimed mainly on Bulgarian language and literature, Bulgarian history, art, ethnology, folklore, etc. The Central Library of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences contributes to this program by the digitization of Bulgarian cultural heritage. From 2011 on are proceeded more than 4000 titles or 330 000 files in 21 collections. These are libraries of prominent scientists, old and precious editions, periodicals, microfilms of Old Bulgarian manuscripts and photos, preserved on a DSpace platform.
