Summary/Abstract: Organized by the Madzlis of the Islamic Community of Orasje and the Institute for Social and Religious Research from Tuzla, and under the auspices of the Mufti of Tuzla, a one-day scientific-expert conference entitled Islamic culture and tradition in Orasje from the middle of the 19th century to the present day was held. The reason for holding this scientific-professional conference is to mark the jubilee, one hundred and sixty years since the immigration and settlement of Muslims in the area of Orasje, then Donja Azizia, who were expelled from the Principality of Serbia in 1862/63. years. The Conference program included scientific consideration and valorization of the identity, cultural and spiritual articulation of Muslims, Bosniaks, in Orasje. In the thematic and structural aspect, the presenters at the Conference were renowned and credible researchers from the fields of social and humanities (historians, orientalists, theologians, lawyers, sociologists, political scientists, etc.), from Bosnia and Herzegovina and its surroundings. The tendency was for the area of Donja Azizia (Orasje) and its population to be the focus of interest in all scientific considerations.
