Summary/Abstract: Academician Mariam Lortkipanidze (1922-2022), a prominent Georgian historian and public figure, left a rich scientific legacy behind her. She wrote approximately 200 works, including several monographs and scholarly articles, which contributed significantly to the development of Georgian medieval studies, shedding light on many previously unresolved issues. At the same time, Mariam Lortkipanidze passionately and enthusiastically responded to the pressing issues of public life. The article discusses the main aspects of academician Mariam Lortkipanidze’s scientific work and highlights her contributions to the study of the history of medieval Georgia.
