Summary/Abstract: In Heidegger's texts there is a certain recurrent formula or law which organizes all his writings like a code. It may be called „law of essentialization"or „logic of essence". This article is an attempt to show that this law (or logic) underlies Heidegger's treatment of Lebe-wesen (living being, and living body) but it is incorrectly to claim that this treatment can be taken up as a theoretical premise of his interpretation of humanitas like a „human resources" and in particular of his statement that agricultural technologies and gas chambers are „essentially the same".
