Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present a strategy of social survival in the conditions of a crisis of parliamentary democracy. Th reats to the rule of law are compared to toxins that have accumulated in the world of living organisms over the years and thus have prevented their proper functioning. Th e analysis covers three strat-egies, including passive and active ones, for individuals or groups that need to adjust to the expectations of a subject/entity exercising power. Th e diff erentiation of these strategies depends on the degree of subordin-ation of the individual (servant personality type) as well as on the place that both material and non-material goods occupy in one’s value system.
