Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses language policies as a field influenced by various factors. The most important ones being globalization, economy, and politics. The relationship between language policies and the aforementioned factors is bidirectional and is subjected to constant change. This research begins by discussing aspects that concern language policies in general, but unavoidably goes toward the impact of English on language policies.
