Summary/Abstract: The birth of Jesus Christ was the greatest event in human history. From now on, everything would relate to His image and not only religion would be affected, but all other aspects: painting, literature, sculpture, music, art in a word. But more than a report, Jesus became a role model, an important and concrete source of inspiration. I will talk about, Christ, an element of inspiration in Byzantine culture, then I will present God the creator of the image in the universe, I will approach the cross as culture, as a symbol of sacrifice, how Christ Influences the Renaissance and He the example of the perfect Man, Jesus, authority in the conception of the reformers.
