Summary/Abstract: There is a specific legal duality in the scope of the Statute of the Muslim Religious Union. The Statute of 1936 and the one adopted today – in 2009 – are probably in force at the same time. The Spokesperson of the Muslim Religious Union confirmed the noticed legal dualism. The Polish legal order does not provide for the possibility of not applying the universally binding act, unless the competent authority decides on non-compliance with the Constitution. However there was a doubt which Statute is valid. I signal the potential consequences of such a state of affairs and possible solutions this situation.
