Summary/Abstract: The study yielded a number of interesting and important insights into the issues that are currently most troubling for the Polish society. At the same time, they provide important guidance for decision-makers whose actions are related, but not limited to, legislation. Ensuring a sense of security for citizens is first and foremost a task for the police. It also concerns the work of the courts, the jurisprudence of which should be aligned closer with the sense of justice of the society and lead to the inevitability of punishment if the legal and penal norms are breached. It is also food for thought for the political elite, whose activities were judged not very favourably by those surveyed. This fact may mean that this activity misses the societal expectations and are not really a “mirror” of social views and feelings. It therefore takes place in a kind of social vacuum. This certainly does not encourage socio-political activity; on the contrary, it can foster the development of selfish and even antisocial attitudes.
