Short Description

Studia Prawnicze [Legal Studies] quarterly is a reputable academic journal and has been a fixture on the legal publications market for 40 years. The journal has been published by ILS PAS from its inception. What sets Legal Studies apart from other legal journals is its strong theoretical slant. Within relatively broad limits in terms of volume (often even 2 publishing sheets – 80,000 characters, including spaces and annotations), the authors of the articles and essays it publishes can carry out in-depth and multifaceted analyses of the juridical issues they raise and present a wide range of views on legal doctrines and judicial decisions. The journal is open to the entire academic legal community.

Studia Prawnicze [Legal Studies] covers a wide range of legal issues connected with the political and economic reforms wrought by the transformation of Poland’s system of governance (e.g. company law, competition law, industrial and intellectual property rights, and electronic signature law). A considerable portion of the publication is devoted to fundamental individual rights. Reflections on the need to have the law and legal studies re-evaluated in the light of European law, and especially EU law, is a major theme that runs through the studies it presents. It additionally contains articles and essays on the evolution of human rights and environmental protection in the broad sense of the term.
