Modern paradigm of development and implementation of structural policies in the West Pomeranian region in the years 2004–2008

Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to answer the question whether the method of implementation of structural policies in West Pomerania Voivodeship includes contemporary paradigm of development. An analysis of spending trends in 2004-2006 in the scope of the European structural policy in the West Pomeranian region, and obtained results demonstrate that during that period the implemented policy goal was to achieve alignment and consistency level especially in the social sphere, which did not take into account the contemporary paradigm of development. Therefore it could not meet the declared willingness of the strategic documents of long-term development of a competitive economy.
