THE CHORAL PHENOMENON IN LĂPUȘ COUNTY – BETWEEN INSTABILITY AND BALANCE

Summary/Abstract: In the lower part of the Carpathian Mountains, at the borders of history, it watches as a gateway to Maramureș Country Lăpușului. This country resembles a beautiful and grand palace, where many natural riches and beauties dreamed of by the human mind are gathered and mastered. A place full of history, a place of the picturesque, a corner of the country where myths, legends, stories with and about heroes were born. A cradle of spiritual culture and civilization, where the ancestors and ancestors sleep in the peace of the richness offered by the surrounding nature, the place where history is written and lived by people. Although the choral phenomenon has an educational value for lovers of beauty, we find with regret and bitterness that it is in a downward slope, this is due to both the lack of musical and aesthetic education of participants in the musical life of a community, but also the element commercial musical that unfortunately dominates those who still fight for a natural ideal - that of expression through art - choral art in our case. However, in Ţara Lăpușului there are still some amateur choral ensembles (few in number but valuable as a phenomenon), which beautify both the liturgical service performed in the localities where they originate and the secular moments organized at the festivities on the occasion of the celebration of national or local events.
