E-Support as a category of support for students and parents in the time of a pandemic

Summary/Abstract: The article is theoretical. It is an attempt to describe one of the categories of social support, which is e-support. The implications for its development stem from the needs of students, parents and teachers signaled at a specific time related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian military attack on Ukraine in February 2022. Having experience in pedagogical practice, we started to ask questions: Is there any e-support, is it easier to ask for advice from strangers, anonymous people on the Internet? Why do students in crisis situations seek online advice instead of seeking help in real life and react rationally? The following text is an attempt to operationalize the conceptual category of “social support”, to mark help groups on the Internet, and to summarize the essence of e-support as a new category of social support (available online).
