Summary/Abstract: The EUROPEAN SAFE ONLINE INITIATIVE project is aimed at parents and aims to help them clearly and seamlessly navigate the world of the Internet, in which modern children spend much of their free time. It is a kind of continuation of a leading Flemish initiative, which for the last seven or eight years has been implemented and coordinated by many educational institutions and associations throughout Europe. This edition of the project includes representatives of five EU countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece and Romania. The EUROPEAN SAFE ONLINE INITIATIVE project, funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ program, has a duration from January 2022 to January 2023. The initiative proposes adapting and expanding recognized and proven innovations in the field of media literacy. The project reproduces the Flemish initiative SAFEONLINE as an extremely successful practice, which has proven its effectiveness with numerous qualitative and quantitative indicators of impact. For Bulgaria, the project provides training for over 500 parents.
