Summary/Abstract: Purpose – This study was carried out in order to evaluate the opinions of healthcare professionals about the performance evaluation system during the covid-19 pandemic process and to determine whether these opinions differ according to personal and professional characteristics. Design/methodology/approach – In the study, the survey method, one of the data collection techniques, was used. As a result of the questionnaire application, Skewness and Kurtosis values were checked for the conformity of the obtained data to the normal distribution. Findings – In the study, Cronbach's Alpha value was determined for the reliability levels of the answers given to the scale statements, and this value was determined as 0.95. In the study, Independent Sample t-test for binary variables and One-Way Variance analysis for more than two variables were used to compare the views of healthcare professionals on the performance appraisal system. Discussion – In the results obtained, it was determined that the views on the performance appraisal system according to gender did not differ significantly. On the other hand, it has been determined that there is a significant difference at the level of 0.05 between the marital status, working time in the institution, education level, service to the inpatient due to covid-19, and the opinions about the performance evaluation system.
