Summary/Abstract: The interwar period represented for the Romanian literature a moment of flowering marked by a current of Orthodoxism. This current manifested itself in the works of many Romanian authors, but the one who laid the foundations of a doctrine is Nichifor Crainic, who tried to mystify the Romanian culture. The combination of nationalism, the Orthodox faith and the Romanian traditions were the perfect ingredients for success. True art was where faith was strong because the artist became an imitator of God, and, through what he created, he invited the public to discover God through his work. Another famous representative of this current was Lucian Blaga, but who, out of the desire to mystify nature and man, led the current in the area of metaphysical pantheism. God and man could not be partners because man aroused a fear in God. Even if Blaga retained a form of orthodoxy, his philosophy emphasized knowledge, leaving ethics aside. Any cultural exaggeration can bring great disservice to humanity. That is why culture and religion must take the right measure so that there should be light in a fairly dense darkness.
