Summary/Abstract: My initial plan in elaborating this work was to emphasize the troubled moments through the poet passed in a communist society. I captured in this part of the work the family events from the poet's life namely the birth of the two aoys and the effects of these moments had. The poet gives up writing in her famous diary for a long time. The mission of the motherhood completely overwhelmed her. Further on in my work I outlined the poet's difficulty in understanding the morality and the cruelty that dominate the epoch of realist socialism. The disappointment makes her cringe and transforms her in an uncertain person, thing that is visible even in her writing. In the pages of her memories are outlined and are revealed important truth regarding the years of communism. Therefore the writer brings it to the fore a short definition of the party but dissatisfaction, distrust and boredom are also caught. The moments of giving up that appear in the poet's life are more and more frequent, her life is a continuous ascent and descent. For the society in which Maria Banuș lived she remained a misfit person, a person that didn't manage to fit the epoch in which she lived, there was a disagreement between her and society, a split that makes her suffer, makes her feel inappropriate and makes her underestimate herself.
