Summary/Abstract: The current paper focuses on the status of Russian as a foreign language in online education, as well as on various methods and strategies teachers resort to in working with their students especially now, when all the world has to adapt to a new lifestyle, due to coronavirus pandemic. Since in Romania Russian language is mainly taught in colleges, the learners’ age is not so much an issue, but rather an advantage, considering the technical skills young adults of about 18-19 years old already have. But, however, the concern for a targeted and successful teaching and learning process still stands. Our article encompasses two essential components – on the one hand there is a theoretical part, comprising multiple methods, definitions and specialists’ opinions on the matter and on the other hand – its practical side, which is a brief analysis of how the teaching process takes place in class from first year to third year students.
