Summary/Abstract: Registers known as sicillât-ı şer'iyye, kadı registers, court registers and sharia registers, contain documents such as ilam, hüccet, vakfiye, berat and ferman recorded by qadi or naips. In this respect, the documents in the sharia registers are generally divided into two parts as those sent to the qadi by the Ottoman government or statesmen and those issued by the qadi or naips. Sharia registers, which have a rich variety of subjects in terms of the documents they contain, are important sources in the fields of economy, law and social history. In addition, there are also notes and poetries recorded by qadi, regent or clerks in the registers. Poetries can provide information about the period in which they were written, beyond showing the cultural level and area of interest of the person who wrote them. In this study, the poetries found in the Manisa sharia registers of the first half of the eighteenth century will be discussed. In this sense, it is aimed to contribute to the field of Classical Turkish Literature in addition to the cultural history of Manisa.
