Summary/Abstract: The current study represents the analysis, from the prosopographic perspective, of two characters, both great Moldavian chancellors – Nicolae and Darie Donici, father and son, who lived and activated at the end of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th one. Our research focused mainly on their family, political activity, patrimonies and foundations, with a special emphasis upon their professional career, insisting on the dynamics of their functions and the advantages of progressing in the functions (being relatives with the ruling house or with various influent families of the time), as well as their most important moments (matrimonial strategies, delegations, military actions etc.).
