Summary/Abstract: Our study presents the general situation from the north of the Lower Danube to the end of antiquity and the beginning of the Middle Ages from a strictly demographic point of view. An important part considers the population of the former Roman cities and their evolution. Another part considers problems related to allogeneic populations and the general demographic evolution in relation to the geographical elements.
