Summary/Abstract: The content of this article refers to usable qualities of a town divided into seven main areas of activities. The author separated economic, social, touristic, ecological, logistic and housing qualilies. Such a described value of all usable qualities influences the level of towns’ competitiveness and creates specific “product − town”. In the article some issues regarding usable qualities and their impact on town’s competitiveness are presented. The ideas of usable qualities, competitiveness as well as approximate tools of competitiveness are also explained.
