Summary/Abstract: In the article, Icompare remote lessons offered byTV stations in Poland and the Czech Republic during the lockdown. Iexamine how media producers and teachers coped with the educational challenges of the pandemic, and Ianalyze the use of new technologies. The authors’ general digital and media culture influences the way their lessons are mediated. Iattempt tocapture the dominant methodological and media principles in Polish and Czech lessons in acomparative manner. In the conclusions, Iindicate significant differences in the structure of these lessons, resulting from the different humanistic and media competencies of their authors.
