Summary/Abstract: In 2017, the implementation of the education reform began in Poland, manifesting itself in major organisational and curricular changes. These changes also concerned education in the field of entrepreneurship, but they were limited to curricular changes, without changing the scope of the subject. The new proposal for further, much deeper changes, presented at the beginning of 2022, would have a significant impact, if implemented, on changes in economic education in Polish schools. This is due to the fact that it is related to the introduction of an extended scope and the matura (A-level) exam in the subject of Business and Management, which is to replace the hitherto implemented Basics of Entrepreneurship. This is a fundamental change that has been postulated for almost 20 years. Therefore, the subject of the article is a discussion on the proposals of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Poland in the field of changes in entrepreneurship education. The main purpose of the paper is to present proposals for changes, against the background of previous reforms and based on previous research and discussions conducted in various forums. The analysis of the reform project in this paper aims to outline the important premises and foundations of the discussion on entrepreneurship education, the assessment of the presented proposal, problems and barriers to implementation, as well as important recommendations for practice, including the project of changes implementation process. Among them, attention was paid primarily to the most important issue, which is the careful selection of educational objectives and content, as well as good consideration of the new formula of the “practical” part of the matura exam. The article ends with the presentation of challenges and identification of potential risks affecting the success of the implementation of changes.
