Summary/Abstract: The article shows the role of photographs in dictionaries in contemporary dialect (regional) lexicography. On the example of selected publications and the author’s experiences, among others, selection of photos for dictionaries, among others, the selection of photos for dictionaries, the way of taking them and the number of photos in relation to the number of entries.
