Reason of state in a digital society

Summary/Abstract: In this article, I want to answer the basic problem question: How can sociology define the relationship between the raison d'être (state mind, state thinking) and modern society in the era of digital progress? This is a metatheoretical question concerning the role of sociology in the modern world. Sociology not only describes the social reality under study, but also contributes to this reality by designing a conceptual and theoretical framework. Analyzing the relationship between the raison d'état and the digital society, I will point out the importance of changing the adopted sociological perspective for viewing this relationship. The article is a reflection on the border of social theory and methodology. In this article, I will check the validity of theses that combine the sociological thinking style with the way of viewing, understanding and shaping changes that take place in a society that uses digital technologies on a large scale.
