Social inclusion as inspiration for social rehabilitation and penitentiary studies

Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses how the idea of inclusion may be applied in the domain of social prevention as well as in social rehabilitation and penitentiary activities. The following parts detail theoretical and methodological aspects of the analysis of inclusion and related variables, and the issues of social rehabilitation in the society open to inclusion. Moreover, against the backdrop of the effectiveness of such enforcement policy measures as isolation and probation, the author puts forward the suggestion that social rehabilitation and penitentiary pedagogy should be considered in the light of the inclusive social pedagogy and social policy.
