Liability of a property appraiser as an officer of public trust

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this work is to investigate the liability of property appraisers in the professional, civil and contractual scope as public officials. In particular, the author presents the legal position of the profession of a property appraiser, legal regulations that shape their liability and the issue of due diligence in activities related to the valuation of rights to real estate. In his work, the author focused on a comparison of this role with the main legal professions in the above-mentioned scope, qualifying property appraisers to the group of legal professions. The work deals with the implementation of the right to defense against the background of the legal profession. The conclusion presents the author’s suggestions along with proposed solutions.
