Summary/Abstract: Adampol / Polonezköy is a Polish village located on the Asian side of İstanbul, founded due to the efforts of Prince Adam Czartoryski in the nineteenth century. The village is an extraordinary example of a Catholic minority in a Muslim environment, making the community and its representation in the media particularly interesting. This research-based study focuses on how the Polish minority is represented in the Turkish media in the light of van Dijk’s critical discourse analysis. The study evaluates how texts and photographs have been structured in newspapers by examining news stories about Adampol / Polonezköy from the Milliyet newspaper and the haberler.com and adampolpolonezkoy websites.
