Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the attitude of Ukrainian modern language students towards the Polish language. The research was conducted among students of Rivne State University of the Humanities (Rivne, Ukraine). The vast majority of the respondents had never studied Polish. The languages studied at the university are English, German, French, and Russian. At the time of the study, the university did not offer the opportunity to study Polish. The urgent issue of the growing interest in studying Polish among students is an indication of the increasing power of the language, which is proved by the research.
