Summary/Abstract: This article concentrates on one particular aspect of the grammar and vocabulary of English: combinations of verbs with adverbial or prepositional particle which are generally called phrasal verbs. The benefits of this research should include the basis for teaching specialized travel and tourism vocabulary or grammar structures. Another outcome should be the list of the most frequently used phrasal verbs as they appear in the specialised travel and tourism vocabulary.
