Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a survey of typological properties of clitics in the Balkan languages. Although specific cliticization patterns are traditionally observed as a unitary Balkan Sprachbund feature, the paper argues that even the so-called “core” languages of the Balkans possess different types of clitics in terms of their morphonological properties and morphosyntactic behaviour.
