Summary/Abstract: Various critics have analyzed the complexity of Bond Girl portrayals in the long history of the James Bond franchise. Some of them noted that the Bond Girls represented a modernized sexuality, and that they reflected freedom, independence and a new kind of femininity. My paper analyses representations of women in the second Bond film, From Russia With Love (Terence Young, 1963). The purpose of this paper is to describe the process of objectification of women in this film and explain its function in the ideological context of the time.
