Summary/Abstract: The European Union and the United States, two major economic powers in the world, have chosen cooperation instead of competition, and thus transatlantic relations have resulted in significant benefits for both partners. The two powers developed important economic, political, social and cultural links between them. The common objectives of the European Union and the United States: to promote democracy, human rights and market economy, security, actions against the proliferation of weapons, environmental destruction, drug trafficking, terrorism.
