Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issue of values in education against the background of elements of the contour theory of upbringing by Stefan Kunowski. It was shown how important educational assistance is for the proper formation of the pupil and assimilation of values – the process of internal transformation and its determinants, dynamic components of upbringing and directions of educational development. Stefan Kunowski’s hints for contemporary pedagogy regarding supporting the educational development of people based on values were also indicated.
