Summary/Abstract: The implementation of inclusive education (education of diverse groups) has been an ongoing process for many years. Both general and special educators are interested in it, because it concerns all subjects who are firstly students and pupils in the education system and then adult participants of social life. However, despite many years of interest, defining what inclusive education is, both in theoretical and pragmatic terms, remains problematic. The last three years have seen intensified systemic activities aimed at defining this concept in Poland, as well as aimed at introducing changes to create a school friendly to everyone, according to the widely understood concept of inclusive education. These changes have coincided with a very difficult period for all of us, namely the COVID-19 pandemic and the associ- ated uncertainty, which can be limiting and undermining the functioning of both individuals and entire groups. The article refers to the designed and implemented changes despite the unfavorable pandemic and socio-political situation.
