Summary/Abstract: The article collects evidence showing that accusations of heresy levelled against the Stephanite anchorites were false - they were accuyed, among other things, of being antimarian. The presented evidence is excerpted from unpublished manuscripts written in the Ge'ez language of the Stephanite community in the Grunda Grunde monastery in the 15th centuries in Ethiopia.
