Summary/Abstract: Family-mediated early interventions (FMEI) as a natural communicative model is effective in addressing the needs of children with developmental disabilities and enhancing parents’ competence in supporting parent-child social interactions. The article presents 2019 cross-sectional study conducted in Varna, Bulgaria with 40 parents and 40 children participating. The study aims to explore the relationship between FMEI service use, parental capacity and children’s social functioning and adaptive skills. Results indicated a significant progress in 2–3-year-old children. FMEI prove to be effective and meaningful for parents and their children.
