Summary/Abstract: Modern society requires medical schools to prepare a new generation of healthcare professionals who possess the knowledge, the skills and the competencies to adequately and quickly adapt to the changes in public health and labor market dynamics. In the transition toward the establishment of a new educational paradigm, an emphasis is placed on the purposeful, well-planned and organized individual work of the students, which is accepted and considered as an effective means for the formation of their professional competence. As such, self-employment increases choice, increases adaptability to changing living and working conditions, makes people more social, more mobile, more competitive and more motivated.
