Summary/Abstract: By analyzing existing data, the author tries to answer the question - did the anti- crisis shields introduced by the government directly affect the labor market, constituting a real protection of jobs? During the lockdown period, did support for employers with loans or subsidies to maintain employment prevent an increase in the number of unemployed people and a weakening of the region’s economy? For this purpose, a comparative analysis of the years 2019-2021 was carried out. That is the period before the pandemic, the greatest crisis in 2020 and the popandemic state until mid-2021. Material and methods: Analysis of existing data. Results: Analysis made it possible to verify the assumption. Conclusions: Unemployment in June 2020 for the same period in 2019 has increased, but already in 2021. a significant decrease was noted. The analyzed data allow for an unambiguous diagnosis – the anti-crisis shields stopped the socio-economic crisis in the Warmia and Mazury Region.
