Summary/Abstract: The modern labor market is characterized by a rapid pace of changes, and thus an extremely difficult time for all partners cooperating in it. It is a collision of economic, political, educational and social problems that affect labor market policy. On the one hand, these changes are favorable, because unemployment since 2013, is systematically decreasing (the exception is 2020 – the outbreak of the pandemic). On the other hand, employers have to face increasing requirements. The development of new technologies, changing law and demanding employees are just some of them. For several years, a mismatch of qualifications to the needs of the labor market has been observed in Poland. The operation of a company in a region where the unemployment rate has been very high for several years is a challenge. Such regions in Poland are Warmia and Mazury. The author analyzed the attractiveness of the National Training Fund (KFS) which provides employers with an opportunity to support lifelong learning of their employees. Four poviats were taken into account: two, where the average number of economic entities in the analyzed period was at a low level, and two, where this number was twice as high. The research confirmed the thesis that, in the opinion of employers, it is a good support tool, especially when it is necessary to quickly implement new technologies and trained staff is required. A positive opinion was also expressed by the employees of local labor offices, who provided and accounted for the indicated support. They emphasized the fact that the National Training Fund (KFS) has been appreciated by entrepreneurs, especially as a cost relief when there is an increase in prices caused by inflation.
