Summary/Abstract: The present text is based on three letters that are part of a unique correspondence from 1973 between Bartolomeu Valeriu Anania and Patriarch Justinian Marina (1948-1977). The inedited correspondence between Patriarch Justinian Marina and Bartolomeu Valeriu Anania had the purpose of calling the latter to the episcopate. In order to leave no room for interpretations and to protect his disciple from communist attacks, Patriarch Justinian sent his correspondence in this regard to the Department of Cults, with the mention “For your information”. The same institutions that initially forbade Bartolomeu to go to the USA and that characterized him as a dangerous individual who must be removed from Patriarch Justinian’s entourage.
