Summary/Abstract: The present article is a chronicle of the volume Gems of Romanian Orthodoxy – Căldăruşani Monastery, signed by father professor Florin Şerbănescu, a volume distinguished by the Romanian Academy. The book is written with scientific rigor but also with literary talent, this aspect being evident both in the portraits he pictures and in his ability to create a certain atmosphere. The article analyzes several episodes where the protagonists are personalities of the religious and public life, episodes related to Căldăruşani monastery.
