Summary/Abstract: In this article, we analyze the second volume of poetry by Al. Robot, “The sleep of loneliness”, which appears in Chișinau in 1936. The stake of this volume is the poetic experiment, aesthetically engaged. The young poet is attracted by the ideology of “The Flycatcher” which is aimed at the field of pure aesthetics and stimulated new literary energies. Lyricism and maintained by the nutrients of modernity, experimenting with various writing techniques. “The sleep of loneliness” opens with mystical, hermetic poems, which feed on the vortices of the vortex, and ends with imagistic poems. It is a volume in which the poet breaks away from the percussive obsessions of “Earthly Apocalypse” and probes the unconventional aesthetic conversions. Insufficiently crystallized aesthetically and in “The sleep of Loneliness”, the lyricism of Al. Robot is looking for shapes and formulas. The poet goes through the period of the feverish searches of the models, in order to rally the synchronization, engaging in unique literary experiments. We find that, by the appearance of this volume, Al. Robot is part of the intellectual direction of modernism, which brought a new breath to poetry.
